ERP 25 Police Mobilisation plan
This plan informs the coordinated, national, 4 Tiered response to a mutual aid
requirement and clarifies the main roles and responsibilities to events requiring
mutual aid support and mobilisation.
Mutual Aid can be described as the provision of policing assistance from one
force to another. It is a formal arrangement and is similar to the provision of
Special Police Services. Often where the incident/event is likely to be
extraordinary to the normal policing arrangements in a force area or region.
Resources mobilised within the Force area will be facilitated by the Operational
Planning Team in conjunction with supporting Resource Management Unit(s).
For regional support the deployment of skill sets will be managed and
coordinated through SWRICC, with national support being managed through
NPoCC with additional support from SWRICC
